We are animal lovers and our combined experience includes cat and dog, bird and livestock handling, positive training, microchipping and broad animal management experience. We also have extensive experience with grooming and animal welfare. Christie Reeves-Tate
Christie has spent several years in the animal welfare industry, starting her professional career as an Animal Control Officer with the Lost Dogs Home and now a qualified positive dog trainer. Christie has completed several courses in the pet industry including Animal Management Certificate 111 and 1V, a Graduate Certificate in Animal Welfare with Monash University and a Companion Animal Bereavement course. She is also a certified microchip implanter for cats and dogs. Christie owns and operates a pet minding and dog walking service: Onsite Pet Care Services. She has recently updated her animal first aid skills by completing a ‘Pet Animal’ first aid course with Kensington Vet Clinic as well as a ‘Handling other people’s dogs’ seminar through CASPA. She has just returned from the Association of Pet Dog Trainers 2007 seminar in Sydney and completed Cert 1V in assessment and Training with Victorian University. Christie also teaches a dog training component of the Animal Technology Diploma at Victorian University in Werribee and is a tutor for the Pet Dog Training course through Cengage Education. She can also be found taking puppy classes at Yarraville Village Animal Hospital. Christie’s four legged family include pooches Beth, Billie & Tess, Winnie a 2 year old Moggy and the latest addition a very well adjusted kitty, called Izzy.
Charlotte is a qualified Canine Good Citizen Delta Instructor, recently completing 18 months of study with the Delta Society of Australia and has been involved in positive reinforcement training for the past 4 years, in more recent times taking agility, puppy and basic manners classes. She has also recently (April 2007) updated her animal first aid skills by completing a ‘Pet Animal’ first aid course with Kensington Vet Clinic. She has just returned from the Association of Pet Dog Trainers 2007 seminar in Sydney and has just completed Cert 1V in Animal Companion Services. She can also be found assisting people of Bayside with animal behavioural problems in the home. Charlotte’s four legged family includes Frank and a 1 year old kitten named Minimag.
