Specialised Classes
At Dog Training at Hairy Hounds we understand that sometimes 'problems' arise
that aren't necessarily the focus of a basic or advanced course - which is why we are offering
specialised classes.
These classes have been specifically designed to focus on areas of concern,
from pulling on the lead to breed specific concerns.
Doggone! Recalls Class NEXT CLASS
STARTS FEBRUARY 21, 2010.
Reliable recalls in different
situations with various distractions.
Heeling
Teaching your dog to walk at your heel when required.
Walking on a loose leash
Want to enjoy your walk with your dog again? Teach him to walk
nicely on a loose leash with no 'crisscrossing'
Solid Stays with big distractions. Real life scenarios set up to
provide owners and their dog's with practical experience.
Classes for Children designed to give them the tools and
confidence to interact with dogs they will come across in their
day-to-day lives - not necessarily their own pets.
The aim of this class is to build a child's confidence, gain an
understanding of dog body language in their terms. How to behave
around strange dogs, when not to touch the dog, what to do if you do
want to pat a dog...
Your Dog and the Car
Getting in, staying, being calm, appropriate harnesses, focus,
getting going.
Breed specific classes
for example: Classes just for Staffy's would feature how to
deal with pulling, destruction, to play or not to play (tug of war /
other dogs), jumping up, separation, ball obsessions.
Or classes for working dogs (Kelpies, Border Collies, Australian
Cattle Dogs), featuring elements such as an introduction to agility,
fetch (or rather how to manage the constant need to fetch!),
barking, jumping, settling.
Require something not on offer?
Let us know - we may be able to devise a class around your specific
needs.
